Sprinkle over the garam masala and lemon juice. Serve with rice or gluten free flatbreads.

Tips

  • Sear the salmon first for a golden crust, then finish gently in the sauce so it stays moist.
  • If your spinach sauce looks dull, a squeeze of lemon at the end brightens the colour and flavour.

Storing and freezing

Keeps 1 day in the fridge, cooled within 1 to 2 hours. Reheat gently until steaming hot all the way through. Freezing is not recommended once the salmon is cooked.

Questions

Can I use frozen salmon?

Yes. Thaw it fully in the fridge overnight and pat it very dry before searing, or it will steam instead of browning.

Can I add potatoes?

Yes. Add 300 g par boiled, diced new potatoes with the sauce for a heartier saag aloo style salmon.
