Cook the onions in the oil with a pinch of salt over a medium heat for 12 minutes, stirring, until soft.

Add the vinegar and sugar and cook for 3 more minutes until sticky.

Grill the sausages for 8 to 10 minutes, turning, until browned all over and hot in the middle.

Warm the rolls on the grill for 1 minute.

Fill each roll with a sausage, a spoonful of onions, ketchup and mustard.
