Method

  1. 1

Label 4 freezer bags with the date. Lay the sliced banana on a lined tray and freeze for 30 minutes so the slices do not stick together.

    30 min
  2. 2

Into each bag put an equal amount of banana slices, mango, pineapple and baby spinach, plus 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed. Squeeze out the air and seal.

  3. 3

Lay the bags flat in the freezer so they stack neatly. They keep for up to 3 months.

  4. 4

To make a smoothie, tip one frozen pack into a blender with 250 ml of oat milk. Blend for 1 minute on high until completely smooth.

  5. 5

If your blender struggles, leave the bag out for 5 minutes first, or add a splash more oat milk. Drink straight away. A made smoothie keeps in the fridge for up to 24 hours, shaken before drinking.
