Method
- 1
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) and line a tray with baking paper. Run your fingers over the fish and pull out any bones you find. Cut the fish into fingers about 2 cm wide and 7 cm long.
- 2
Put the flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs in three shallow bowls. Stir the lemon zest and rapeseed oil into the breadcrumbs.
- 3
Roll each finger in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, pressing the crumbs on. Lay them on the tray with a gap between each.
- 4
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, turning once halfway, until the crumbs are golden and the fish flakes easily.
16 min 40 s - 5
Meanwhile, cook the peas in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain. For babies and children under 5, squash or halve the peas so they are not a choking risk.
3 min - 6
Let the fish fingers cool for a few minutes. For baby led weaning from 6 months, serve whole fingers the size of an adult finger and always sit with your child while they eat. Serve with the peas and a lemon wedge.
