Method
- 1
Mix the flour, yeast, sugar and 1 tsp salt in a bowl. Add the warm milk, the egg and 3 tbsp oil and bring together into a soft dough. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth, then cover and leave somewhere warm for 1 hour until doubled.
60 min - 2
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large pan. Cook the onion for 5 minutes, add the cabbage and cook for 15 minutes, stirring, until soft and lightly golden.
20 min - 3
Take off the heat, cool a little, then stir in the chopped eggs, dill, 0.5 tsp salt and the pepper.
- 4
Heat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan). Divide the dough into 12. Flatten each into a circle about 10 cm wide, put a spoonful of filling in the middle, then pinch the edges together firmly.
- 5
Place seam side down on lined trays, cover and leave for 20 minutes. Mix the yolk and 1 tbsp milk and brush over the buns.
20 min - 6
Bake for 20 minutes until deep golden. Cool slightly on a rack. They are good warm or cold in a lunchbox.
