“Get Smashed! Crispy Smashed Potatoes You’ll Actually Fight Over”

Crispy Smashed Potatoes – Crunchy, Salty, and Oh-So Satisfying!
If you haven’t tried crispy smashed potatoes, you’re missing out on life itself. Golden and crispy outside, fluffy inside, seasoned with herbs and olive oil—they’re basically potato perfection!

- Total time: 55 mins
Ingredients:
- 1 kg small new potatoes (skin-on)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp sea salt flakes
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder (optional but delicious)
- Fresh rosemary or parsley, finely chopped
Items Needed:
- Large saucepan
- Baking tray lined with parchment paper
- Fork or potato masher for smashing (very satisfying!)
- Oven preheated to 220°C (200°C fan) / Gas mark 7
Recipe:
- Boil ‘em Up: Boil the potatoes in salted water for about 15–20 mins until tender. Drain well and let them steam dry for a few minutes.
- Smash and Relax: Transfer potatoes to a lined baking tray. Gently smash each potato using a fork or potato masher until they’re slightly flattened but still holding together. Let your inner potato rage out—but not too much!
- Oil & Season: Drizzle generously with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with sea salt, black pepper, and fresh herbs (rosemary or parsley).
- Into the Oven: Bake the potatoes for 25–30 mins, until perfectly golden and crispy. Flip halfway through if you’re feeling energetic.
- Dig In: Remove from the oven, serve hot, and prepare yourself—these potatoes tend to vanish suspiciously quickly.
